I took my first Yoga/Pilates class tonight at a local gym. One of my friends, Savannah, was sweet enough to invite me and boy, did I like it!

I felt so refreshed and calm once the class was over.

Yoga is for spiritual, physical, and mental discipline and pilates is for strength, flexibility and control of the body. So my ended up being an INTENSE workout!
The instructor had the lights turned down low and she spoke in a real soft voice. I started out not doing very well and was super worried I wasn't going to be able to make it through the whole class! I started sweating and panting almost immediatly--I looked at the clock and had only been there 10 minutes!

I have been working out with Jillian Michaels "30-day Shred" and running on the treadmill but this was COMPLETLY different and I think that is why I enjoyed it so much. I really had to push myself to complete the full hour but felt really great when I did!

My legs and arms were shaking pretty bad in some of the poses but Savannah told me that will get better with time! Watching it on TV, it looks so easy and relaxing, but it actually is a GREAT workout. I'm not positive..but I sure feel like I burned lots of calories!

Towards the end of the class we did some relaxation and deep breathing exercises that felt sooo good! I almost felt like I was in a spa! It was much better, in my opinion, then busting my butt on the treadmill and being sooo out of breath and just worn smooth was more calming for sure.

The classes are every Tuesday and Thursday night and I have a feeling I will DEFINITLY be back! My legs already feel like jello for goodness sake. ;)

What is your experience with yoga or pilates?!?

Hanna's Made Up Pasta

I made up a little recipe tonight that I thought I would share. It was yummm-o and my husband FEEL.IN.LOVE. He told me it was the best meal we have ever had. Now, I don't know about allllll that!! But..I'll take it. ;) I just threw some stuff together that I had at the house.

It was ridiculously easy with just 4 ingredients!

Spinach: I got the frozen spinach in the steamable microwave bag. Took like 6 minutes to heat up!

Philadelphia Cooking Creme: I used the Savory Garlic but I'm sure you could use any kind.
Grilled Chicken Breast: I used the frozen strips that you heat up in the microwave in like 4 minutes! I just cut them into smaller pieces.
Rotini: I used whole wheat.
I cooked the spinach, chicken, and pasta seperate...took a large skillet...through them all in...added all the cooking creme and heated it up! THAT.IS.IT. and it was sooo good. Oh, I did add some pepper!

I then baked some whole wheat rolls and made some sweet tea and we were set!

Seriously, y'all, for a fast, quick, yummy meal...this is perrrfect! ;) And you can just call it: "Hanna's Made Up Pasta" Thhhhanks!

(I am well aware some one else has probably made this..but I didn't use a dang recipe so...I made it up!)

Easter Dress Up Recap

I'm kinda sorta combining three post into one. It really should be Easter, Dress Up, and then Weekend Recap. But I'm saving everyone involved some time! So, it's gonna be one big ol' post!

We had Hannah for Easter (this past weekend) which was AWWWESOME and we did LOTS AND LOTS of fun things! We always try to stay busy when she is here and do stuff that she really enjoys.

Friday night we went to a friends house for a cook out. There was probably 7 or 8 other kids there and she had A BLAST!! Adults did to. ;)

Saturday we woke up early and went to an Easter egg hunt at one of my co-workers dad's house. It felt so amazing outside and we had some pretty dang yummy fried fish, if I can say so myself! Hannah got to die eggs and then hunt them down!

This pic is pretty blurry - but still so cute...

She was gettin' it!

So pretty!

Me and Han at the party. Dad didn't get to join because he has to work EVERY saturday...dumb job.

Being my lil' model...

Please excuse all the pics...I'm a picture freak! Haha. And who can't help but take and look at pics of this sweet baby girl?!?!

After the party we went home to nap then went out to Park Place for Ryan's Grandpa's 83rd birthday party. It was a hit for sure!

Sunday, we pretty much relaxed; hunted eggs, died eggs, played, and slept.

We all three played dress up with Hannah's Tinkerbell dress up kit.

Obviously, her dress up clothes don't fit Ryan and I so we improvise!

I was the blue princess: the shirt is on my head and the skirt in on my neck! HaHa

Ryan is the best dad in the world...he is ALWAYS down to play whatever wants and does such a good job!! He can get down on some barbies, dress up, make up, nail polish, etc.

He was Tinkerbell: Shirt around face and skirt around leg! ;)

Hannah was the sweet pink princess!

She made us stand in line..holding a Ty Beanie Baby of our choose...and we had to perform a dance and sing. ;)

I spared myself and my husband the embarrasment of posting our dancing pictures!!

All in was a FAB weekend! I hope you guys had a fun Easter too! ;)

It's Paula Deen Ya'll

Hey Guys! I'm linking up with Lyndsie at A Love Worth Waiting For... for Monday's Meals!

About a month ago my sweet mom gave me a Paula Deen autographed cookbook! Yaaay.

So, the first recipe I decided to make was Mexican Chicken Casserole and booooy was it good. ;)

Ol' Paula Deen doesn't disappoint! I made this recipe last week, and it was SUPER easy and SUPER yummy. Not so healthy...buuuut it'll do for a cheat day! ;)

I did not take this picture -- I found it on the Internet -- but it looks EXACTLY like this!

1 can Cream of Mushroom soup

1 can Cream of Chicken soup

1 can Chedder Cheese soup

1 can Rotel

1 lb boneless, skinless Chicken Breast (I used a Rotiserre Chicken from Albertsons!)

1 package of Flour Tortillas (I used wheat!)

2 cups of Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese

Additional ingredients to top casserole after it has been cooked, if you please: black olives, sour cream, salsa, onion etc.

Preheat over to 350.

In a large bowl, combine all three soups, Rotel, and sliced chicken.

Start with tortilla in bottom of pan, cover with mixture, top with tortilla, and repeat until all mixture is gone. (I think I ended up using about 5 tortillas.)

Cover top with cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly!

E N J O Y ! ;)

On Friday, Ryan, Hannah, and I were driving in the car and this sweet conversation occured:

Lil' Hannah: "Daddy and Biggie?!" (she calls me Big Hanna or Biggie)

Me and Ryan: "Yes...."

Lil': "Do you know what is in two days?!?!"

Us: "No, what?!"

Lil': "It's Easter!"

Me: "It sure is!"

Ryan: "Do you know why we celebrate Easter, Lil' Hannah?"

Lil': "Duuuh Dad!" (thinking we are about to hear all about the Easter bunny and candy and dying eggs and hunting eggs..) "Jesus died on the cross for our sins and on Easter he rose from the dead!"

Melt.My.Heart. my sweet 5 year old. You are too amazing for words. ;)

Of course, we told her how smart and sweet she was and Ryan went on to explain a few little details with her because she was a little confused but the fact that she was excited for Easter for the right reason thrills me to no end!! She is so smart and absorbs information so well. She loves asking question about stuff she isn't so sure about and it just makes us smile.

THIS is what Easter is about for me. ;)

Movie Mania

As you may be aware Ryan and I absolutly love watching movies. We watch atleast 2 or 3 a week.

We just figured out this past week how to get our Netflix through our Wii and we have now watched like 5 movies in the past 3 days! HaHa.

Watching movies at home is cheap entertainment that we get to enjoy together so I think that's why we like it so much.

We watch pretty much anything and sometimes get some good ones and other times... notsomuch. I feel like I can only catch a REALLY good movie every 10 movies or so. I also like chick flicks and dumb comedies so that may be why I never fine ones I just LOVE and have to watch over and over.

Yesterday, I watched "The Joneses"....It's about a "fake" family that gets paid to promote and sale products. It was pretty funny and entertaining but not as good as I had expected. I probably wouldn't buy it or watch it again.

The other night we watched "Cyrus" with one of our couple friends. It was very, very odd. I think everyone pretty much liked it but I found it kind of creepy. I though it was supposed to be this super funny flick but it was sort of dark in my opinion. It definitly had some funny parts but I probably won't be watching it again.

Tonight, we watched "Hot Tub Time Machine" and it was suuuuper funny! I really liked this movie and would definitly sit through it again. It was one of those "there's no possible way" movies but turned out very well! The ending made me super happy. ;)

A few days ago I watched "Eat Pray Love". It was ok but kind of long. An hour and thirty minute movies is about my two hours and twenty minutes was just TOO much for me. I would love to read the book though. It had a great story behind it but was dragged out.

The other night we were scanning through the old cartoons and came across "Rocko's Modern Life". I totally loved that cartoon when I was younger but now feel like it's pretty dumb! It's super strange but we watched a few episodes. Definilty not something we would let Hannah watch.
Hannah watched "The Ant Bully" today. She has seen it before but wanted to again. It was pretty cute I thought. I think she really likes how she can scan through a bunch of movies and pick out whatever she wants!

We still choose to get the DVD's in the mail with our Netflix as well as on the Wii. On the Wii you can only get certain movies that are usually older or not so popular. We still like watching them but all the new releases have to come through the mail.

We have some really good ones coming up that I can't wait to see! The Fighter, Burlesque, 127 hours, The King's Speech, etc. I think we have about 120 movies waiting for us to watch. HaHa

That might just take us a whole year! ;)

Spring Polish Swap!

Happy Thursday! One of my favooorite blogs "Life as a Jane Doe" is hosting a Spring Polish Swap!

I have never participated in one of these but it sure sounds super fun!

Hop over to her blog to see what this is all about and link up to participate!

Sisterly Love

So, I'm pretty sure I have the silliest sisters in the world. We always have so much fun when we get together and pretty much laugh the whole time. They are so amazing to me and I couldn't live without them!

They both live in Louisiana so I don't get to see them as much as I would like but when we do get together it is definitly unforgetable. When Ryan and I went down on this past Sunday to visit our Louisiana family we got to spend some quality sister time together.

This is my big sister, Jessica, she is 29. And I'm pretty sure she was cracking up in this picture.. and also pretty sure she may kill me for posting this. ;)

This is my little sister, Kaite, she is 13. She was showing some of her cheerleading moves!

Annnnd them being models:

Ryan and Kaite messing around.

Playing in the back yard -- you see that sweet Beetle in the background. That is my little sisters -- her and dad are fixing it up for her!

Love these two very much!

Flower Picker

Sunday Ryan and I headed down to Louisiana to hang out with my dad for his birthday. We always have such fun times on road trips. This time we stopped TWICE to pick flowers for my MeMe. She wasn't feeling good so we thought this may help!

We had to put the flowers in a water bottle...I think she really liked them! ;)

Happy Spring!
