What I'm Loving Wednesday

Today I am linking up with Jamie for...

I'm Loving --- My New Spice Rack!!! I always skip recipes that have lots of spices because I don't want to have to buy all them considering I don't have ANY! (I'm no Betty Crocker.) Now I can cook just about anything I want with all these spices!

I'm Loving --- My New Advocare Shirt!!! Isn't it awesome?!?

I'm Loving --- My Bible!!! My dad gave me this bible on my wedding day...with my new name engraved at the bottom. ;) I am in the process (for the first time) to read my Bible front cover to back cover.

I'm Loving --- My New Paula Deen Cookbook, Ya'll!!! My sweet momma got this for me in Savannah, GA a few weeks ago at Paula's restaurant.

And it's EVEN SIGNED!! ;)

I'm Loving --- C25K!!! (Couch to 5K) This CD is music that goes with a workout to help you from sitting on the couch to running a 5k in 9 weeks. It boy does it work...I've just finished the first week and I can already tell it's getting easier!
I'm Loving --- Black Swan!!! We bought this last night and watched it for the first time. Super Duper W E I R D but I still liked it!

Top Ten Tuesday

My top ten for this Tuesday is: Decorations around my house!! These are my top ten decorations that I have... of course, it was SO hard to pick out just ten.. I totally should have done a top twenty but I did the best I could. And these are in no particular order... Also, yes I have gray walls throughout MOST of my house..not all. I picked the color out and LOVE it..Ryan not so much. Oh, and excuse my poor quality pictures. My camera SUCKS. 1. Keep Calm and Carry On. I got this beauty at Kirklands for like $20 on sale! I loooove it so much. It has a rough texture with a beautiful frame. It goes fabulous in our "funky" living room. We have a "funky" (beatles artwork, marilyn monroe artwork, couch, book shelf, stereo, etc.) living room and a "formal" (tv, coffee table, couches, dvds, etc.) living room. 2. My favorite piece of "artwork" that we own...Our Eyes. This is from our engagement pictures -- I got it printed onto a canvas and then Ryan built a frame for it and glued the canvas on. It is AWESOME! I am so in love with it. ;) I would say the dimensions are about 16" by 28" or something of that sort. 3. This is my "china" (haha). I don't have very many pieces just yet but am in the process of collecting a 6 piece set. They have pasleys on them with green and brown and blue and tan. Sooooo gorgeous. I registered for them at Bed, Bath, & Beyond for my wedding. 4. These are some lanterns from my wedding. I have most of them in a box in the closet but I did decorate with some around my house. I absolutly love these and spent tons of money buying about 30 of them for the wedding so I am proud to display them around my house!! Plus I think they are super cool.
5. This is one of my crosses that I have. I have about 4 or 5 hanging up but I think this is my favorite one. This was given to me by my step-mom and dad for my birthday and I think it really rocks!! If I'm not mistaken, I believe a youth group or something of the sort where making them to raise money to go on a trip. (I think)
6. Sand from the wedding. Ahhhh how I love this. This part of the wedding was BY FAR by absolute FAVORITE. Ryan, Hannah, and I all poured a color of sand into this vase to show our families joining together. I was SO happy that Hannah did a color of her own with us. It wasn't just Ryan and I getting married....it involved Hannah too. This peacock eye at the top is from our wedding so I dropped it in there so we would have it forever! I cannot wait to get a mantel to display this on....it holds my heart.
7. This is a memory stone created by Ryan, Hannah, and I. We sat down on Sunday afternoon and made this together. We had so much fun and it turned out GREAT! It is now displayed on top of our book shelf. Hannah put her hand print on there and we helped her paint some of it. She was sooo proud of herself. ;)
8. This was given to me at a wedding shower by Ryan's Aunt Susan and Cousin Lindsey. I think it is super neat and will have it in my house for FOREVER!
9. This is also from our wedding. It was my big sister, Jessica's idea. It is a corkboard framed in black. My mom put a piece of fabric over the corkboard and I attached some engagement pics of Ryan and I. At the wedding, people would write little words of encourgement or advice for Ryan and I and then stick it on the board. We have some very sweet and funny things on there and I love reading them from time to time. It is now hanging in our "formal" living room.
10. This baby was a Christmas present given to Ryan and I by my Meme. I absolutly adore it! It is an angel over looking a couple. The base says "Ryan and Hanna September 25, 2010." Our wedding day of course!! Soooo beautiful. It is on a shelf in our "formal" living area as well.
That is my top ten!! Going back through them..I realize most are from my wedding or mean something to me. That makes me very happy.

What are your favorite decorations in your house???

Future Clothes!

Hey guys! Happy Saturday!

So since I'm on my little weight loss kick I have been doing a little shopping or should I say looking. Of course, I'm not going to buy anything until the weight is gone but looking around doesn't hurt anyone! I am excited to get into short sleeve shirts and possibly shorts and skirts. It's been awhile since I have been able to wear tank tops, spaghetti straps, shorts, dresses, etc. and be comfortable and I am hoping and praying this summer I will be able to! I have been working super hard and new wardrobe for this summer would really excite me and pay off!

I found some super adorable things here and there -- I am going to wait until the beginning of June to buy them because I am not sure what my size is going to be at that time..hopefully pretty small! ;)

One of my favorite stores online to shop for clothing is Tillys.com. They have really cute stuff AND a fabulous sale section.

Here are some of the shirts I am going to get or am looking to get:

Sheer Waist Women's Top

Floral Crochet Womens Tank

Button Front Womens Tank

Erte Women's Tank

Printed waistband bubble skirt

Cute huh?!?! I cannot wait to buy these and hopefully look good! ;)

Um..different..

I have a silly story...well odd story... I thought it may give you some entertainment this Sunday evening.

Today..Ryan, Lil Hannah and I went outside to blow some bubbles, ride bikes, play baseball, etc. Just a fun little day with the family and this gorgeous weather!!

All was going well until two of our next door neighbors decided to join us. One was 5 and the other 7. They were very sweet..introduced themselves..made reference to Hannah Montana as most little girls do when they hear our names. The littlest one didn't have a bicycle so Hannah let her borrow hers and she rode her scooter.

The oldest daughter came up to us and proceeded to say, "Look! I have hair growing on my arm pit!" She lifted her arms and low-and-behold she had hair growing in her arm pits. I thought Ryan may vomit at any second but he held his ground. I said, "Wellllll maybe you should shave that..." and she ran off to play. We, of course,. looked at each other like ooook..kids say the darndest things and we are used to that but dang!

Well, not 2 minutes later she comes back and says, "My Granny is in jail." Ryan said, "Oh bummer, I'm sorry." Not this idiot!! I said, "Why??!?" She said, "She done stabbed her boyfriend. She lives in an old folks apartment complex and he wouldn't leave her alone so she stabbed him up."

Wow...

Just Wow...

I will look up funny quotes, mean quotes, sad quotes, love quotes, famous quotes...anything that I can think of at the time. Through me doing so..I have fallen in love with quite of bit I have come across...I thought I would randomly share some here and there...it might inspire you, or make you laugh, and that's what I'm here for! ;) I also like quotes on art work, on walls, on coffee mugs, on anything you can think of! So, not only will I be able to document them here so I will never forget them (I do that often) but I will get to share them with you!

Yes, Ms. Monroe you have that right. That is one of my all time fav quotes and actresses! She has some more that I love that I am sure will pop up here in the near future. ;)

Weight Loss Update

....which I am so sure you are thrilled about. ;)

The past ten days haven't been so great. I have slacked off a bit but am trying to get back on track this week!

I still haven't had a single soda or sweet tea or anything of that sort since March 1. My hubby hid my scales because I weighed myself about 10 times a day and was getting discouraged so I haven't weighed myself since last Wednesday. He said I get it back this Wednesday so I hoping for atleast a few pounds lost although I wasn't very good this past week.

I did get a veeery exciting gift today that I am hoping will help me tremendously! I finally got a treadmill! Yaaaay. ;) I have been begging Ryan for one for like EVER and I finally got me a lil' cheap one from Walmart. It has 6 pre-set workout programs and can go super fast...I found out the hard way.

I did the second pre-set program for weight loss and must say I did not do too well! Haha. I had to lower the speed a few times but I DID make it the full 30 minutes. I think I only went like 1.5 miles and burned 150 calories in that time but I am still proud of myself! It was my first time for goodness sakes! Surely I will get better because I definitly plan on working out on that pretty thing EVERYDAY!!

Besides my workout program and eating better, I am still on the amazing Advocare. I sure do love this stuff!

I am done with my 24-day challenege but will still stay on the products for LIFE! Yes, they are that wonderful to me. They make me feel like a brand new person everyday. I have a different regimen now that I am very happy with and am hoping for AWESOME results!!

I start my day with Spark...the best energy drink ever invited. Oh, and grape is by far the best flavor! Yummmm-o.

and some Catalyst. Catalyst "helps maintain muscle mass during exercise and weight management, helps repair and protect muscle tissue, and aids in preserving muscle and energy levels during times of calorie restriction."

30 minutes later I have a meal replacement shake for breakfast. It has, "24 grams of protein, 5-6 grams of fiber, 26 vitamins and minerals and only 220 calories and contains 50% of the daily value of calcium." And the chocolate flavor is sooo good and helps out on my sweet tooth!

45 minutes before lunch I take some LeptiLean. It is a new product that I am trying for appetite control. So far, so GREAT! The first day I tried it...I had a yummy, healthy sandwich and could only get half of it down! Of course, I eat 6 small meals a day so it's no problem to only eat half a sandwich at a time.

I am very pleased about the results I am getting. I can definilty tell that I am losing inches and feeling GREAT. I am becoming more toned and healthy too.

This is my website if you want to look into the products more or order some for yourself..I promise you won't be disappointed! ;)

I will update again next week and let you know how I am doing! Having a great week and enjoy this AMAZING weather we are having!

Neat-O

If you recall from this post, Ryan, Hannah and I went to Shreveport to the Mardi Gras parade two weekends ago. This past friday, Hannah, my mom, and I went back to Shreveport to do some shopping with my big sister, Jessica. In the process, we went down the same street that the parade was on and saw this AWESOME tree. I thought it was super cool so I had to share. Now, I do not know if the owners did this themselves or if the people on the floats threw them and they got stuck this way but I think it is SUPER PRETTY and really want to do it to my tree in the front yard! Haha

Isn't that Neat-O!! ;)

Top Ten Tuesday

Hey guys! Today I thought I would do my Top Ten Tuesday on my Top Ten Favorite Snacks! Since I started on my little weight loss adventure I have been trying to eat better and I have found quiet a few snacks that I really enjoy. Of course, they aren't all SUPER healthy or perfect for you but they are MUCH better then what I am used to snacking on.

1. Green Apple: I never had much for apples growing up but lately have been all about these juicy, yummy little treats. "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away!" ;)
2. Cantaloupes: My mom and I have always snacked on cantaloupe..even when I was a kid. I perfer them with salt on top -- but lately have been eating them when nothing on top and love them just as much! So juicy and good.

3. Natural Peanut Butter on No Salt Rice Cake: For the first time EVER, I had one of these babies a few weeks back and Ryan and I have both been addicted since. Really, really yummy and such a good snack for kiddos too!

4. Whole Wheat Toast: Sometimes, this can be kind of bland..but for a quick on-the-go snack..just pop it in toaster (no butter!) and eat! Of course, it's hard to find the best whole wheat bread...no high fructose corn syrup and no added artificial perservatives, color, or flavor.

5. The Laughing Cow Cheese: This is one of those snacks that probably isn't GREAT for you but it's a small portion and very yummy. I like the Garlic & Herb flavor the best on whole wheat crackers.

6. Nutella: Yet again, not the BEST snack for you, but better than a Snickers! It will definilty give you your chocolate fix for the day on a rice cake or wheat toast!

7. Green Olives: Oh how I love thee. These are easy to grab and chomp on (eating some now!)..just have to be careful with the sodium intake.

8. Boiled Eggs: These little suckers are so good! I used to eat them covered in salt but now eat them plain and still love them just as much. If you take the yolk out you save about 55 calories per egg..plus the yolk can cause high cholesterol. Sometimes I eat them with or without the yolk..just depending on my mood. I boil about a dozen at a time so I can just grab one out of the fridge whenever I want and don't have to wait to cook it!

9. Strawberries: Here is another juicy fruit I cannot get enough of! Once again, I use to snack on these babies but with lots of SUGAR!! Now I eat them plain and still love them just as much!
10. Celery w/ Cream Cheese: Probably one of the worst snacks on this list but DANG it is good. I have an obsession with all things cheese...so I add some celery in there (negative calorie) to make myself feel better about eating them! ;)

Do you have any favorite, healthy snacks you want to share?! Let us know in the comments so we can all get healthy together! ;)
